Santa Leaves Eggnog Recipe at Trimble Creek Lodge

Santa left this fabulous Eggnog recipe at Trimble Creek Lodge! Outside Guy makes this easy, delicious and oh-so-much-better-than-store-bought recipe for friends and family every Christmas.  With only five ingredients, you can make some for yourself or gift-giving this season and still keep your holidays distinctive, simple and relaxed – exactly like your vacation at Trimble Creek Lodge!


Santa’s (Outside Guy’s) Small Batch

1 Quart (4 Cups) Half & Half

2 Egg Yolks

1/2 Cup Sugar

1/2 Tbs. Vanilla

1 Cup Bourbon (add extra Bourbon & a bit of Nutmeg if desired when serving)

Family Style Large Batch for Parties or Gift Giving

2 Quarts (8 Cups) Half & Half

4 Egg Yolks

1 Cup Sugar

1 Tbs. Vanilla

2 Cups Bourbon (add extra Bourbon & a bit of Nutmeg if desired when serving)

Making the Eggnog

Heat milk in a pot on the stove, but don’t scald. Use low-medium heat and get it hot but not boiling. The warm milk cooks the egg yolks. Separate the eggs and save the whites for sugared pecans! Beat yolks in a small bowl until lighter in color and texture. Beat in sugar & vanilla until mixture is lemon colored. Add Bourbon slowly to egg mixture as you stir. Add all to the milk slowly while stirring. Garnish with grated nutmeg or an extra dash of Brandy or Bourbon if desired. Good warm or cold! Enjoy! Santa & the Trimble Creek Lodge Outside Guy
